Here is a brief history on how the the Eastvale Edition came to be. In early 2000 the only development in the area was Cloverdale Farms. Residents of that development had various concerns and they invited the Supervisors Office, JCSD, Corona Norco School District and their developer (KB Homes) to come and answer questions on issues that the residents felt needed to be addressed. This was the first official Town Hall Meeting for Eastvale.  Riverside County Supervisor, John Tavaglione felt that a volunteer committee should be formed under the auspices of his office to bring Eastvale’s problems and issues to his attention and thus the Eastvale Community Committee was formed (also known as the ECC).  As each new development became occupied, a flyer was delivered to the new residents offering information such as phone numbers of various agencies/people that they can contact to get help with different problems they were encountering. A Yahoo group as well as an Eastvale Residents bullentin board and websites were developed so that everyone in the community could all share information. With the help of the County Supervisor, representatives were established from each development who would gather information specific to their development. These representatives began meeting regularly to address their issues. The ECC meetings had a specific agenda with guest speakers from different agencies so questions and concerns may be openly voiced and responded to. It is then the responsibility of each representative to share with their neighbors the information they have obtained. All of the information discussed at the meetings was disseminated via the official Eastvale Edition Newsletter and past ECC meeting summaries may be read below.  As the community grew and local schools opened the ECC meetings turned into the current Eastvale Town Hall meetings that are held once a quarter at Rosa Parks Elementary School. The Eastvale Edition, once a 4 page newsletter printed in black and white and delivered to 2,000 homes is now a 24 page full color layout filled with not only community news but the parks & recreation guide for JCSD delivered to over 11,000 homes in the Eastvale area.
